Cookie Policy
This one is short, because the honest version of it is short. Last updated 2 September 2026.
This website does not use cookies
Not "only essential cookies". None. The site writes nothing to your browser's cookie jar, and it writes nothing to local storage, session storage or any other browser database either. You can confirm it yourself: open your browser's developer tools, look at the storage panel on any page here, and it will be empty.
There is no consent banner for the same reason there is no unsubscribe link — there is nothing to consent to and nothing to unsubscribe from. A banner asking permission to set cookies that do not exist would be theatre, and we would rather not perform it.
Why a plain contractor site does not need them
Cookies exist to remember something between requests: that you are signed in, what is in a basket, which variant of a test you were shown, or which advertising network followed you here. This site has no accounts, no basket, no testing and no advertising. Every page is the same set of files for every visitor, so there is nothing to remember.
Specifically
What is not here
No analytics cookies
No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no self-hosted analytics package. We genuinely cannot tell you how many people have read this sentence.
No advertising or remarketing
No conversion pixels, no audience tags, no retargeting. Nothing on this site follows you to another one.
No social plugins
No feeds, like buttons or share widgets — the components that quietly set third-party cookies on sites that carry them.
No embedded players or maps
No video, no audio, no map iframe. The contact page links out to a map rather than embedding one, which is the whole reason it does.
No third-party fonts
Both typefaces are served from this domain, so no request goes to a font network when a page loads.
No preference or session storage
Nothing about your visit is remembered between pages or between visits. Each page load starts from nothing.
One thing worth naming
The images on the Projects page
The Projects page loads its project photography from ImageKit, an image delivery service, rather than from this domain. Fetching a file from another company means your browser contacts that company, and in principle any such response can carry cookie headers of its own — which would be that provider's cookies, not ours. We neither set nor read them, and we receive nothing from that request.
This is the only automatic third-party request the site makes, and it happens on one of the site's thirty-eight pages; every other image is served from this domain. Submitting a form also sends what you typed to Formspree, but that happens only when you press submit, never on page load. The privacy policy covers both in more detail.
If that ever changes
What we would do before adding any
Adding analytics, an embedded map, a video, a chat widget or an advertising tag would all change this page. If any of them is ever added:
- This page gets rewritten first, naming what was added and what it does.
- Anything that is not strictly necessary to deliver the site gets a genuine choice attached to it, rather than a banner whose only button is "accept".
- The date at the top moves, so you can see that it changed.
Until then, the accurate statement is the one at the top: no cookies, no storage, no tracking.
